Jan Gunnar Hoff & Per Mathisen feat Gary Husband & Nguyên Lê

This band made its first appearance at the large outdoor Garana Jazz Fest in Romania in July 2023 and received rave reviews, including from Czech Jazzport, which writes: “This European all-star line-up presented music ranging from lyrical acoustic landscapes to high-voltage rock jazz. All four convincingly showed their individual virtuoso skills, their interplay was captivating and explosive”. In addition to Hoff and his long-time collaborator Per Mathisen on bass, the band consists of UK drum legend Gary Husband and French/Vietnamese guitar giant Nguyen Le. This group will continue to perform together and for 2024 they are booked to Oslo (Lilleaker live) on Januar 31 and Bodø Jazz Open February 3. June and July 2024 the band performed at The Arts festival of Northern Norway, Harstad, at Porgy & Bess in Vienna and at the jazzfestival in Ceské Budejovice, Czech Republic.
