Jan Gunnar Hoff will make his Australian debut at the Sydney Opera House October 3, 2026, performing a solo concert in the Utzon room, named after the architect that designed the Sydney Opera house. The Utzon room is according to history, the only interior in the building Jørn Utzon was allowed to design himself, before he had to leave the Opera house project.
In the Utzon room Hoff will perform material from his solo albums. Guest soloists is Australian viola da gamba player Jenny Eriksson, with whom Hoff has performed earlier, in Norway. Jenny Eriksson has, with her group Elysian Fields, recorded several of Hoffs pieces, and they will do a concert together in Sydney on October 9.
