Jan Gunnar Hoff will play the inaugural concert on Stormen’s new Bösendorfer grand piano, in the chamber hall. This happens in agreement with Yegor Shevtsov, who had to report due when he is helping his countrymen on the border of Ukraine, in the current crisis.

Jan Gunnar Hoff has played solo concerts in Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, in Istanbul and many places in the Nordic countries, including Fårö in Sweden, where Hoff was an artist in residence at the Ingmar Bergman estate in 2014 and 2015.

Hoff has released 3 solo albums on the label 2L and launches in the spring of 2022 a new solo piano album, HOME, recorded in Stormen concert hall with US Grammy winner Morten Lindberg, in August 2021. At the concert on April 20, Hoff will present some of the pieces from the new album, among others Childhood memory from Nordland, Bruremarsj from Beiarn and Kanskje/Maybe (Terje Nilsen). We also get to hear classics such as Summertime and Moon River, in addition to original works by Hoff himself, including Vaapstenjeanoe (Big River), written for the Helgeland Sinfonietta in 2020, a work that received rave reviews.
